Don't get overcharged. Here is what you need to know about taxi fares in Sri Lanka.

Vehicle Categories

• Mini Car (Alto/WagonR): Best for solo or couples with light luggage. Cheapest option.
• Sedan (Prius/Axio): Comfortable for 1-3 passengers + luggage.
• Micro Van: Good for groups (1-5 pax).
• KDH Van: The gold standard for larger groups (1-9 pax) with ample luggage space.

Standard Rates (Average)

• Mini Car: Rs. 90 - 110 per km
• Sedan: Rs. 110 - 130 per km
• KDH Van: Rs. 140 - 160 per km

Note: Highway tolls are usually extra.
